Abstract
As part of the research and development effort for a compact terahertz (THz) radiation source based on Free Electron Laser (FEL), we have designed a hybrid undulator. The undulator is a fixed-gap device, with a magnetic pole gap of 35 mm , 25 periods and a period of 50 mm. Three-dimensional magnetic field analysis has been performed using OPERA/TOSCA computer code. The design requirements and features of the undulator and the detailed mechanical structure of undulator are given.
