  • Abstract
    Double-winding AC-DC generators are used in self-contained electrical systems. A 3-phase winding and a 12 phase winding set are installed on the stator of the machine, the former delivering AC power and the latter supplying DC power through a bridge rectifier. In this paper, mathematical models are set up in d-q coordinates and the corresponding electromagnetic parameters are proposed for studying the machine performance. The measurement of leakage reactances of the machine is analyzed and mutual leakage reactances are obtained on a realistic Double-winding AC-DC generators. Validity of the mathematical models and parameters measurement methods are examined on a realistic machine.
