Abstract
The theory of one dimensional autoregressive lattice parameters, which has been successful in modeling signals such as speech (the voice tract), is extended to the modeling of two dimensional fields. Applications include lattice parameter modeling for purposes of identification, two dimensional digital filter design, and two dimensional spectral estimation. The concept of minimizing forward and backward prediction error sequences is extended to prediction error fields, and the lattice parameter formulation results which can be used for purposes of two dimensional data analysis, as well as for two dimensional signal synthesis and filtering.
