Abstract
Subvariable Control with Pseudo-Derivative-Feedback Algorithm (PDFSV) is proposed in industrial applications for its excellent robust input tracking and outstanding disturbance rejection properties. The determination of the PDFSV control coefficients is based on the nominal parameter of the simplified plant model that contains only a single term corresponding to the highest effective order in the plant dynamics. The simulation results through the illustrative example problems show that the simplified plant model is adequate for designing a PDFSV control system for a general plant as long as a sufficiently high level of energy delivery rate is available for control effort.
