Abstract
A unified notion for the degree of stability of continuous-time and sampled-data systems is presented, and a decentralized controller design is developed that guarantees a prespecified H¿ norm bound and a prescribed degree of stability for the closed-loop system. Numerical methods are presented for the solution of the resulting controller design equations.
