Abstract
Anti-jam (AJ) features of an EHF communications link derived from absorption and attenuation characteristics of the 50-60 GHz frequency band are examined. Absorption and attenuation effects as a function of frequency, altitude, and weather conditions are enumerated for the 50-60 GHz band. Two potential communication system configurations are considered: coherent FSK and noncoherent FSK. Communications range as a function of frequency is evaluated for an unstressed link, and AJ performance versus frequency for both systems considered is examined for both close-in and standoff ground based disruption by jamming.
