Abstract

The paper presents three-layered key management architectures to MANET (Mobile Ad hoc networks) with three-layered virtual infrastructure. Two kinds of three-layered key management architectures are introduced. The communication efficiency of them has been analyzed. It also shows that the communication cost of the three-layered key management schemes is always smaller than that of the two-layered ones.
