Abstract
Small antenna arrays, e.g. for mobile terminals, suffer from diversity loss due to mutual radiator coupling. We describe the design and characterisation of compact arrays with enhanced diversity performance employing decoupling and matching networks. Essential indications for the radiation properties are obtained from the scattering parameters of the antenna system.
