Abstract
The microcomputer (MCU) which is used as dominating chip in Active Power Filter (APF) is presented and analyzed in this paper. MCU detects the voltage and current signals of the compensation objections in the control system, with DSP detects a load line harmonic current rapidly. The command current signal can be calculated by the compensation circuit, driving IGBT to offset the harmonic and reactive current and filtering. Experiment proved that MCU is suitable for APF application with its powerful and stable performance.
