  • Abstract
    Based on the combination of RS and GIS technology, with the method of threshold and spatial analysis, we study the distribution of snails in Honghu City in the year of 2001. The result shows that there are 82.77% areas of snail distribution in ditch which distributes as linearity and network. It indicates that this kind of environmental condition is suitable for snails to breed. Through local investigation and relevant information, the research findings are consistent with the fact, which shows that the research method is feasible to monitor the snails of Honghu City, and it provides a basis for the future work of schistosomiasis prevention.
