Abstract
In order to settle the problem of blindness before installations of PV arrays, a methodology for precisely estimating the generation capacity of standalone photovoltaic (SPV) systems is investigated. The proposed model for the calculation process is based on the local solar radiation data and the system characteristics and thus has a better precision. A case study of a photovoltaic system by using the meteorology data of Beijing is illustrated as an example to present the method.
