  • Abstract
A new cross-sectional reverse measurement system is proposed in this paper, the common NC milling machine is used in the reverse measurement equipment, which can take full advantage of the existing manufacturing resource and reduce the equipment cost, furthermore, have good performance in measuring the interior shape and size of the objects automatically and accurately. Being a key technique, interpolation for adjacent cross-sections can reduce the distance between adjacent cross-sections, which influences the effect and precision of cross-sectional photogrammetry for reverse measurement. Based on linear interpolation method for establishing interpolative-vertex-pair, an improved cross-sectional linear interpolation algorithm is proposed in this paper. The practical applications have verified that this technique can be successfully used in measuring the complex parts with interior shape.
