Demand forecasting for outage, connections and expansion planning of distribution networks

This paper presents some features of the software development project whose goal is to link half-hourly SCADA readings with the tools for outage, connections and development planning, as well as with the pricing tool for generating distribution use-of-system charges. The focus is put on the methods for extensive data-cleanse, demand forecasting and the developed software. The software is tested on the entire extra high-voltage (EHV) network belonging to “Electricity North West” (ENW).
