Experimental characterization of overhead electrical line conductors after anodic oxidation

The paper reports detailed descriptions and discussions of the carried out activity aimed realizing and verifying the performances of anodised aluminium conductors with increased emissivity and reduced absorpitivity coefficients. In particular measurements of emissivity coefficients, and thermal, mechanical and electrical properties in function of the loading current were carried out for different types of anodised elementary wires. Environmental accelerated ageing tests and fatigue mechanical tests were also performed.
