Abstract

Layered multicast is one of the most important approaches for dissemination of audio and video in heterogeneous network environments. The main problem in layered multicast application is congestion control. The goals of layered multicast congestion control are analyzed, and layered multicast congestion control method is emphatically discussed. At last, the key problems in layered multicast congestion control are pointed out. The research has a very important value in layered multicast congestion control.
