  • Abstract
    The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is powerful method for optimization problem but needs long computation time to get the reliable solution. In order to apply GA to control problem by reducing computation time, Ziegler-Nichols (ZN) gains are used as a default value and reference for limitation of search space. To confirm the performances of the proposed method, it is applied to Simulink based simulator for reverse osmosis plant. Comparing with the Ziegler-Nichols method, the result shows that the system performance is much improved with reducing the computation time.
