Abstract
To develop a flexible indoor localization system which is hardware independent, it is necessary to accommodate the diversity of mobile units in the installed WLAN infrastructure. The diversity of mobile units induces the diversity of signal reception bias terms. To deal with the signal reception bias, this paper proposes an extended signal propagation model and two new localization algorithms. A simulation result verifies the performance of the proposed algorithms.
