  • Abstract
Web service is expected to be the key technology of implementing SOA solution on the Internet. However, as Web services proliferate, it is more and more difficult to find suitable services and further compose them into complex applications automatically. In this paper, a novel service infrastructure named Service Network (SN), which is constructed on the basis of service relations, is proposed to bridge the gap between service consumer and service provider. Using the idea of social network and technology of semantic web, the paper focuses on studying the main characters of SN, including the detail structure, the definitions of service ontology and service relations, the functions from different perspectives, the constructing approach of service mining, especially the process of how service relations facilitate service discovery and service composition.
