Research on Knowledge Transfer within an Industrial Cluster Based on Cognitive Model

Industrial clusters have been the subject of growing attention based on the role they play in the knowledge-based economy. This paper is about the knowledge transfer within an industrial cluster based on cognitive science. Our aim is to propose a theoretical framework on the knowledge transfer among enterprises in an industrial cluster in perspective of cognitive science. Firstly, this paper proposes a cognitive model with ternary structure of clustering firms and explains its characteristics. Secondly, it discusses the uneven distribution of cognitive resource within an industrial cluster. Then, it sets up a framework on the knowledge transfer based on clustering firms´ cognitive model. Finally, it analyses the three types of knowledge transfer in an industrial cluster.
