Abstract
Based on the CAS (complex adaptive system) theory, under the assumption that the supply chain´ s basic function is to maximize the profit, the paper aims to study the dynamic relationship between supply chain´ s individual behaviors and the evolution of itself as well as the relation with macro-industry. Based on SWARM simulation system, the agent behavior model is presented. The results of the simulation reveal that the innovation effect plays an important role in the process of supply chain evolution, which confirms the complex adaptive system phenomena. The macro-system characters just emerge from the individual slight alteration. Finally, it gives some suggestions on supply chain management practice based on the study.
