Abstract
Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) with multi-needle to plane electrodes is attractive for some commercial use, especially air pollution control. The effect of electrodes´ configuration on discharge behaviour is remarkable, as well as its applications. However, structural optimization of multi-needle to plane electrodes has not been studied systematically. In this paper, the space between nearby needles is optimized by FEM simulation. This method is effective as verified by experiments, and it can be replanted to structural optimization of other influencing factors.
