A Novel Library Design Model Based on SMS

With the rapid development of mobile communication and computer technology, the SMS (short messaging service) has become one of the most convenient information query and answer methods and an ideal platform for further development. As one of the direction, the LSMS (library SMS), can be easily facilitated these open platform due to its low-cost, easily deployment, scalability, and security. In this paper we first discuss the relationship among the library, telecom operator and SP (service provider), and analyze and compare the advantages and disadvantages of different deployment models of the LSMS. Then we propose the system architecture and our novel design model based on the current platform. Finally we give the detailed implementation in our system and discuss the deployment of the LSMS combined with a specific LSMS software system.
