  • Abstract
    In this paper, a selective burst discarding scheme for deflection routing in OBS networks is proposed. The discarding scheme is based on the number of traversed hops, the number of remaining hops and burst size. The proposed scheme controls superfluous deflection in order to use the network resource efficiently. Simulation results show that the scheme can achieve a high performance.
