  • Abstract
    In this paper, the retrieval of aerosol over land surfaces from CCD data of China Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (CBERS) 02B was studied. The method is dark dense vegetation (DDV) algorithm: 1) dense vegetation (dark pixel) was recognized by the NDVI threshold; 2) the look up table (LUT) of atmosphere was computed from the Satellite Signal in the Solar Spectrum (6S) model; 3) the aerosol was retrieved through interpolating the LUT by CCD data. The method was applied to Beijing area, and the retrieved aerosol was validated by ground-based measurements of CE318. The result shows that from CBERS02B data, the aerosol can be retrieved well.
