  • Abstract
    This paper describes the design and manufacture of a CMOS chip1 containing a graphics subsystem controller and output converter plus a cursor controller and on-chip cursor store; the pixel and microport interfaces ¿r2 directly compatible with a 64 bit host processor. The chip has been demonstrated to produce video output at 135MHz from a multiplexed input in a range of pixel formats.
