Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
Hydroforming technology has been paid attention by the industries of automobile, aviation, and manufacture because of its intrinsic advantages, e.g., lightening, one-step forming, and high rigidity. The proposed paper provides an approach to investigate how the bellows minimum thickness and formability influenced by the specific manufacturing parameters of internal pressure, punch velocity, and dimensional ratio (crest height to outer radius), by use of the finite element method. The results confirm that the interaction influence exists indeed among the forming parameters. Especially, dimensional ratio plays an important role on the fracture occurrence in bellows hydroforming.
