Abstract
xUML and AADL, for their strict syntax and executable semantics, are usually used to specify the platform independent model (PIM) and platform specific model(PSM) respectively in the development of embedded real-time system by Model Driven Architecture(MDA). In order to support the application of MDA in embedded real-time domain, a method for model transformation from xUML PIMs to AADL PSMs is presented in this paper. At first, the process of model transformation based on metamodel is discussed and a model transformation algorithm is presented. Secondly, the simplified metamodels of both xUML and AADL are presented and the mapping rules written in Action Specification Language(ASL) are built. At last, a simple example is provided which proves the validity of these mapping rules.
