Abstract
The tactics communication system using FSO technology is one of the potential applications in fleet. The influence of atmospheric turbulence in marine surface layer to FSO communication is analyzed using the theory of light propagation in the atmosphere based on the Rytov approximation under the suitable assumptions of isotropic kolmogorov spectrum of turbulence, and the BER of FSO communication system and atmospheric turbulence are combined in terms of signal detect theory. Finally the conceptual design of shipboard FSO tactics communication system is presented and the limitation in application for the effect of atmospheric turbulence in marine surface layer is also brought forward.
