  • Abstract
    Surveillance camera, as an important component of intelligent transportation system, has had a big development in China. The study adopted the algorithm of graphic minimal covering to figure out economical and reasonable locations for surveillance cameras distribution in small and medium-sized city road networks. The minimal covering algorithm was further applied in a case study of an urban industrial park in which the optimal distribution of the cameras was finally found. The application of the algorithm lays a theoretical foundation for a well-designed distribution of surveillance cameras in small-medium city road networks. It is proved to be practical and useful.
