    Data exchange is often recognized as an effective approach for supply chain collaboration. In volatile demand environment, however, this approach will not be sufficient. Research on recent practices is summarized in this paper to guide organizations in violate demand supply chains, including establishing a cross-functional support structure, developing mutual success-oriented processes, and technical infrastructure alignment with the processes.
