Abstract
This paper describes a quantitative analysis of fiber mixtures based on infrared absorption features. The prompt method is in demand because a pretreatment of existing methods takes long time. The method that we propose is nondestructive measurement, prompt and easy. We measured an infrared absorption spectrum of a mixed fabric of polyester-cotton by using a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer. And we examined the possibility of a composition classification and a mix ratio calculation by chemometrics. These experiments showed that the measuring system was effective.
