Abstract
this paper, two-position seeking north project of magnetic suspension gyroscope is introduced. Two opposite points are sampled, which can counteract the constantexcursion influence. And the rotation rate of the earth ωie is further decomposed in the gyro reference frame when the pedestal is leveled and is not leveled respectively. The branch rotation rate ωiexg(0) and ωiexg(1) on the sensitivity axial Xg of gyro reference frame are gained. This branch can bring moment which can seek north automatically. The influence of the incline pedestal on the precision of seeking north is analyzed. In contrast with the pedestal that is leveled accurately, the error of the result of north seeking is Y· tgφ. This indicates that the transverse oblique angle Y of pedestal will influence the result of north seeking greatly. The error compensating system is designed based on the SX-003D-NULL oblique angle sensor. The result of seeking north is compared with the data of seeking north before compensation. Better effect of compensation is achieved by this system.
