Abstract
With the virtual reality and fault diagnosis technology integrated, the visualization fault diagnosis system has been built in the VR environment. The meanings of the visualization are introduced. The system structure and the virtual disassembly approach are analyzed, and their flow charts are given respectively. The expert system is applied in the visualization fault diagnosis, and the backward reasoning strategy is implemented in the inference engine. The diagnostic results are more intuitive since the detection results are shown by virtual instruments. The aircraft brake system is applied as an example to implement the visualization fault diagnosis. It gets a better result in simulating the actual process of fault diagnosis, and achieves an anticipant effect.
