Abstract
The paper presents a content packaging ontology to represent the semantics of the SCORM Content Aggregation Model, which is a distance e-learning technical specification for promoting reusability and interoperability of learning object among different tools and systems. This ontology model solves the problem that the SCORM XML-Schema model lacks semantics and reasoning capabilities. The ontology consists of Concept Taxonomy and a set of Axioms. The Concepts are derived from the elements of CAM XML-schema model; and the Axioms are from the semantic information of CAM document defined in natural language.
