Abstract
Digital globe is a 3D geographic information system, with which user can store, retrieve, render, query and analyze a large amount of spatial data from Earth, including aerial imagery, geographical features, and man-made features. This paper describes the digital globe software, including the software architecture, procedure, interoperability and key technology, which includes geodata manager, geodata server (web services to network geodata compression and retrieval), and geodata browser.
