Process planning knowledge discovery in the process database

With the deep application of Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP), a wealth of process data has been accumulated in the manufacturing enterprises. To capture the inheritable experience and knowledge about the process planning from the data, this paper presents the technology of the process knowledge discovery in the process database. After analyzing the process planning knowledge discovery flow, the key technologies are expounded, including the process data treatment technology, the process data mining technology, the process pattern evaluation technology are discussed respectively. Finally, the process planning knowledge discovery system is designed. The structure and function of this system are introduced.
