Abstract
In order to meet the numerical control process requirement of high speed and high precision of two-dimensional (2D), the paper proposes a novel velocity control algorithm which features precise 2D motion control as well as velocity stability. Compared with the traditional 2D motion control algorithms, the proposed algorithm can guarantee the consistence of processing feed rate with using quadratic parametric spline fitting. Besides, we separate the feed rates of two-axes which exists master-slave relationship and decouple them to the temporal field, so that the system is able to maintain the specific feed rate of each single axis. Theoretical analysis and simulation experiments show that the proposed numerical control algorithm eliminates the velocity turbulence effectively within the high resolution 2D motion control application.
