Abstract
Index: In radio astronomy, DFT (Discrete Fourier Transformation) is usually used to analyze radio sources. The window functions play important roles in DFT. They determines spectra´s main-lobe width and leakages, and then affect observation results. In this paper, at first we discuss the different window functions in DFT algorithm, including their main-lobe widths, peak side lobe levels, and so on. And then, we discuss three kinds of signals in radio astronomy and their different processing methods. At last, we get a conclusion that different signals analyzing must choose the corresponding window function for reducing the window functions´ effects.
