  • Abstract
    Sustainable development of the unconventional energy industry needs continuous professional talents´ support, and the understanding of the present talents´ pool is fundamental to manpower planning. Considering unconventional energy as the emerging industry which characterized with diverse professional fields, it is difficult to find out the demand and supply of talents in this industry. Based on the characteristics of unconventional energy industry and related theory, the article puts forward a new definition and standard of the unconventional energy talents, and brings out the design of statistical target system of unconventional energy talent based on definition of talents, major subdivision, the types and levels of talents . It provides the foundation and standard for the understanding of current situation and the development of talents in future.
