The Inspiration of the Equator Principles to Commercial Banks in China for the Fulfillment of Its Social Responsibility

In the process of the economic development of China, commercial banks are a very important part, and have gained rapid development and promotion during the reform of financial system. Meanwhile, commercial banks´ ignorant of the social responsibility receives critics from all circles of society repeatedly. As an important self-discipline principle in the field of international banking financing, the equator principles has been paid much more attention by the world. If China´s commercial banks want to participate in international competition, take more social responsibility, it should accept the equator principles as soon as possible. This paper explains the meaning of commercial banks social responsibility and the emergence and development of the equator principles, then puts forward the necessity of accepting the equator principles of China´s commercial banks and some specific implementing advice.
