  • Abstract
    In this study, basic power factor correction circuit (PFC), single stage and two stage power factor correction approaches, direct power transfer (DPT) and output voltage regulation are summarized. A detailed observation on some of the proposed circuits in literature with single stage and low power is done. Basic principles, the advantages and the disadvantages of these circuits are determined. Major features as high power factor, output voltage regulation, size, cost, efficiency, current and voltage stresses, control simplicity, bulk capacitor voltage are compared.
