Abstract
Based on the reversibility of magnetically controlled shape memory alloy (MSMA), a new actuator is proposed with self-checking and self-control function in this paper. The actuator can suppress the periodic vibration by adjusting the magnitude of excitation voltage. Operation principle, characteristics and the sensing signal processing of the MSMA actuator are analyzed, and experimental studies are made. Experimental results show that the MSMA actuator has suppressive effect for the periodic vibration by introducing the feed forward compensation.
