  • Abstract
The detailed analysis of several performance metrics in WiMAX demands a stable simulation model in laboratory environment. In this paper we reintroduce WiMAX 802.16e Physical Layer model based on MATLAB Simulink in a new perspective by interfacing the model with Vector Signal Analyzer (VSA) for studying several performance metrics, which are virtually impossible to measure in Simulink. The prime focus has been given on the effect of varying Cyclic Prefix on Residual Constellation Error (RCE) both at the Transmitter as well in the Receiver for WiMAX Transceiver. This novel interface makes clear measurement of RCE which is not possible with Simulink based model. Simulation results have been included.
