  • Abstract
    The integration technology of smart protection and control devices in rural distribution network has been studied. A novel way of fixing high-voltage capacitor on the 10kV branch line and integrating the controller of the capacitor with the protective device of circuit breakers on the branch line is proposed. Using the load parameters of actual rural branch line to check the function of controller. The results show that the controller can cooperate with the capacitors effectively to make the Real-time and local compensation of reactive power shortfall available, and the controller can save the investment of original high voltage dynamic reactive power compensation controller. The proposed controller, which improves the investment efficiency, can improve quality of power, reduce the loss of energy and achieve intensive control at the same time.
