  • Abstract
    The photonic properties of quasi-random nanostrucutred materials based on Nanoporous Anodic Alumina with metallic components are investigated. By means of FDTD numerical simulations the transmittance of the structures are evaluated. The results show the existence of a photonic stop band in the same frequency range as for an equivalent periodic metalo-dielectric photonic crystal. The position and width of the stop band is slightly affected by the frequency-dependence of the metallic component.
