Abstract
This paper discusses the possibility to apply the ideas of the wave based method, which has been developed for the steady-state acoustic areas, i.e. to solve Helmholtz type boundary value problems in a bounded domain, in non-acoustics areas such as steady-state temperature propagation, calculation of the velocity potential function of a liquid flux, calculation of the light irradience in a liver tissue/tumor, etc. We show a way to handle the inhomogeneity in the differential equation using the non-uniform non-rational B-splines.
