Abstract
This paper presents an antenna element suitable for use in dual-polarized GSM1800 and UMTS broadband cellular BTS applications. The proposed design consists of a pair of stepped dipoles for each polarization. To provide improved impedance matching and a balanced feed, each dipole contains an integrated balun.
