Abstract
This paper focuses on the measures we take at software certification approach to continually ensure quality as we use and operate software in certain environment. Previous study has showed that certification of software products is feasible and demonstrate the practicality of the implementation in real situation. In 2007, SCM-prod model has been developed based on end product quality approach of certification and has been implemented in three real case studies involving three large organizations in Malaysia. The studies successfully met the objectives. In 2009, we repeat the assessment and certification study participating one of the same organization. The findings of the case study and comparison between current and previous studies are explained in this paper. The study shows that continuous ensuring quality of a software can be achieved through certification. In addition, estimation of its aging could be achieved through extension of this model thus could limit its aging effects and decay, and delay the aging of the software.
