  • Abstract
Nanowires, an important building block in nanosystems, can now be synthesized with readily tailored composition and subsequent physical properties. A skillful nanowires manipulation technique is the prerequisite for fully exploring the huge potential of the various available nanowires. Here we present a comprehensive review on the magnetic-driven assembly of NWs, especially the ferromagnetic NWs. Both merits and shortcomings of the magnetic approach are included in this paper.
