  • Abstract
In this paper, all of the current aspherical proccessing methods were utilized, and the main factors which influence on the annulus corrugation error in the midst of the aspherical turning process were specifically analyzed. In addition, a novel principle for the high-order aspherical machining process was proposed. The recently developed principle could move the turning tool exaclty along the tangent direction of the aspherical track which was already designed. As a result, the annulus corrugation error can be significantly reduced or eliminated and the high-accuracy,continuous and smooth optical surface was obtained, on the other side, the machining efficiency can also be improved and the cost can be largely reduced.
